This product aims to create an easy way to find other riders to carpool with by automatically matching up users' locations and schedules.

The Solution

A mobile app for people traveling the same roads. This app lets you easily match with people traveling by car to the same workplace, classes, or more while taking into account individual preferences and traveling habits.

Insights from User Research

Time Period Commitment Levels

Offering riders varying levels of time commitments when scheduling rides lets users trial carpool relationships and accounts for users with short term commutes.

Open Ride in Maps

Users found including a feature that opens the address address of their destination into their favorite maps app made the transition between planing and driving seamless.

Key Take Aways & Conclusions

Through this process I learned that user research is key to iterating with confidence and validating design decisions. Next steps for this project would include refining the app's features through additional testing and developing more ways to personalize user profiles and commuter preferences.
